Changelog

What's changed

Engine updates, data improvements, and feature drops. Shipped, not promised.

Disclosure Policy We publish what changed and why. We do not publish exact thresholds, weights, or implementation details that would enable gaming or cloning.
Unified navigation + external chart data

IMPACT: Full mobile access. Chart data decoupled from markup. Faster updates.

  • Unified navigation — Consistent nav links across all five pages. Every page reachable from every page.
  • Mobile hamburger menu — All pages now accessible on mobile via dropdown panel. Previous mobile view hid all nav links behind the CTA.
  • External chart data — Rankings page now loads data from a separate JSON file. Chart generation script converts engine output directly to site format.
  • Homepage preview card — Preview section now pulls real scores from the latest chart. Names remain redacted until full rankings.
  • Geometric roster tokens — Each roster member receives a unique, deterministic SVG avatar. Gold linework with fingerprint strip — no photos, no platform data leakage.
  • Trust strip — Persistent proof footer on all pages. Site-wide source of truth via shared config.
  • Accessibility — ARIA labels, focus-visible outlines, keyboard navigation for drawers and tooltips.
  • Disabled tab lockout — Weekly/Monthly tabs now visually grayed with grayscale filter to reinforce unavailability.

COMPAT: Rankings page now requires chart_data.json in same directory. All other pages unchanged.

Lexicon v1.3 + Instagram + Video Transcription

IMPACT: Significantly more accurate appearance capture. Fewer false negatives on slang, anatomy, and transformation vocabulary.

  • Lexicon v1.3 — Expanded coverage and context gating for ambiguous terms. Improved slang, anatomy, and transformation vocabulary capture. Fixed two high-value terms that were incorrectly penalized.
  • Instagram ingestion fixed — Moved to a more reliable collection strategy. User-post content now pulled consistently across the roster.
  • Video transcription active — Video audio is now transcribed and scored. Content that was previously invisible to the engine now contributes to appearance relevance and signal scoring.
  • Momentum operational — Momentum now uses prior chart history when available. Rank changes and trend lines reflect real movement.
  • Volatility dampening — Reduced low-sample volatility to prevent noise from inflating rankings for individuals with limited data.
Website overhaul

IMPACT: Consistent, defensible claims across every page. New trust artifacts.

  • Methodology page — Added "What DDI is not" section, pipeline overview, and chart cadence definition. Removed exact anti-gaming multiplier values from public copy. Fixed platform and query count claims.
  • Roadmap page — New page showing upcoming features with status badges and progress timeline.
  • Changelog page — This page. Public record of engine and site changes.
  • Weekly/Monthly tabs — Disabled with "Coming soon" tooltip instead of dead buttons.
  • Copy consistency — All pages now use consistent language for platform coverage and data collection scope.

COMPAT: No breaking changes. Static site, no API impact.

Rankings page + Mog King treatment

IMPACT: Chart is now explorable. Every rank tells a story.

  • Rankings drawer — Click any row to expand signal breakdown, platform distribution, and metadata.
  • Platform strip — Visual bar showing discourse distribution across platforms for each individual.
  • Mog King badge — #1 ranked individual receives a dedicated hero section with gold treatment.
  • Intro section — Explanatory text and metric tooltips for first-time visitors.
  • Countdown timer — Shows time until next chart cycle.
Initial engine + first chart

IMPACT: First scored chart published. Pipeline operational end-to-end.

  • Multi-stage pipeline — Full data processing pipeline operational: collection → cleaning → enrichment → scoring.
  • Appearance lexicon — Multi-language lexicon with inclusion terms, noise filtering, and comparison pattern detection.
  • Multi-platform collection — Active collection across multiple platforms using hundreds of targeted queries.
  • DDI composite scoring — Five weighted signals aggregated into a single 0–100 score per individual.
  • First chart published — Initial roster scored and ranked.
